Miss Fazila Ishfaq (Environmental Engineer) with srudents having slogan beat the air pollution


Miss Fazila Ishfaq & WBM Foundation conducted a plantation campaign on “Clean and Green Punjab” with the collaboration of Forest Deprtment Lahore at GCU on 18th March ,2019. Event was aimed to discuss the current environmental issues and their cost-effective solutions. It was inaugrated with the recitation of Holy Quran. Student of the College recited some verses from the Holy Book.

Speeches:
Welcome speech was delivered by Mr.Muhammad Basharat (Minister LG&CD). Professors of the college of GCU also delivered enthiussiastic speeches on rapid Deforestation and its impact on the world. M.Asad Ullah (Secretary forest) briefly talk on deforestation and rising Environmemtal issues. M.Sibtain Khan (Minister Forest) also addressed the gathering and advised that we should perform and work individually to bring the healthy change in the environment. Mr Ajmal Rahim (Chief director forest) also addressed the gathering and advised
Cleanliness walk


to plant more trees to make the environment pure and clean. At the end of the activity, soviniers and shields were distributed to the students, participants and event organizers.
Plantation:
Following the seminar activity, plantation activity was held in the college permises. Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja​ (Minister Local Government and community development) , Prof.Dr.Hassan Shah,SI (Vice Chancellor) and professors along with students, planted the seedlings in the college and initiated the planation activity.An awareness walk with the collaboration of Lahore waste management company was also carried out in oval ground of GCU.

Conclusion :
Seminar was conducted successfully .The activity proved to be effective  and motivational . All of the participants and students showed their zeal determination for the cause. Students and professors presented enthusiastic speech  and plantation activity was held in the college ground.

Clean Pakistan- Plantation Campaign at Lahore Ring Road

Miss Fazila Ishfaq Planted Tree at Lahore Ring Road Eco Goals with the collaboration of WWF Pakistan planted 5000 trees on Lahore Ring Road sponsored by Akhuwat, the world's largest interest-free microfinance program.  Volunteers from Project: Pakistan and Akhuwat’s transgender community took part in the plantation activities. The plantation was facilitated by Lahore Ring Road Authority and PHA, in collaboration with Afforestation Lahore.  Volunteers of Eco Goal This 14 August plant a tree for our future!
