World Forest Day at Changa Manga Forest

Tree plantation conducted On‘’International FOREST DAY’19 ‘’ with the collaboration of Forest Department AT CHANGA MANGA FOREST

WBM Foundation conducted a plantation campaign on “International Forest Day” with the collaboration of Forest Deprtment Lahore at Changa Manga on 21st  March ‘2019. Event was aimed to discuss the current environmental issues and tree plantation and cost-effective solutions of air pollution. It was inaugrated with the recitation of Holy Quran. Student of the recited some verses from the Holy Book. CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar highlighted the importance of plantation.

Speeches:
Welcome speech was delivered by Mr.Sardar Usman Buzdar (CM Punjab). Professors of the college of GCU also delivered enthiussiastic speeches on rapid Deforestation and its impact on the world. M.Asad Ullah (Secretary forest) briefly talk on deforestation and rising Environmemtal issues. M.Sibtain Khan (Minister Forest) also addressed the gathering and advised that we should perform and work individually to bring the healthy change in the environment. Mr. Saleem also addressed the gathering and advised to plant more trees to make the environment pure and clean. At the end of the activity, soviniers and shields were distributed to the students, participants and event organizers.

Plantation:
Following the seminar activity, plantation activity was held in the college permises. Mr. Sardar Usman Buzdar (CM Punjab), Mr.Malik M.Amin and professors along with students, planted the seedlings in the forest ground and initiated the planation activity.An awareness walk with the collaboration of different schools , Ngo’s was also carried out in forest.More than 3000 plants have been planted in the forest.

Clean Pakistan- Plantation Campaign at Lahore Ring Road

Miss Fazila Ishfaq Planted Tree at Lahore Ring Road Eco Goals with the collaboration of WWF Pakistan planted 5000 trees on Lahore Ring Road sponsored by Akhuwat, the world's largest interest-free microfinance program.  Volunteers from Project: Pakistan and Akhuwat’s transgender community took part in the plantation activities. The plantation was facilitated by Lahore Ring Road Authority and PHA, in collaboration with Afforestation Lahore.  Volunteers of Eco Goal This 14 August plant a tree for our future!
