Plantation campaign at Changa Managa Forest



Fazila Ishfaq conducted a plantation campaign on “International Forest Day” with the collaboration of Forest Department Lahore at Changa Manga on 21st March ‘2019. 

The event was aimed to discuss the current environmental issues and tree plantation and cost-effective solutions to air pollution. It was inaugurated with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Students of the recited some verses from the Holy Book. CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar highlighted the importance of plantation. 

Chief guest of activity are: Mr. Sardar Usman Buzdar (Chief Minister Punjab) M.Asad Ullah (Secretary forest) M.Sibtain Khan (Minister Forest) Malik M. Amin( Special advisor to CM/Ministry climate change) Mr.Tauqeer Ajmal (Officer of Forest Department) Mr. Saleem ( Deputy Forest Officer) Following the seminar activity, plantation activity was held in the forest premises. 

Mr. Sardar Usman Buzdar (CM Punjab), Mr.Malik M.Amin and professors along with students, planted the seedlings in the forest ground and initiated the plantation activity. An awareness walk with the collaboration of different schools, Ngo’s was also carried out in the forest. More than 3000 plants have been planted in the forest.
